Objectives:

1. Participants will understand the discriminatory nature of the practice of withholding care in periviable neonates as compared to older neonates.

2. Participants will become aware of the impact of physician recommendation against care, and the resultant substandard care of neonates who continue care.

3. Participants will become aware of the financial disincentives for neonatologists who continue to give life-sustaining care, and the degradation of medical ethics which results.
