Objectives:
1. Understand how the menstrual cycle is an important vital sign and how its charting aids in the evaluation of abnormal menstrual patterns throughout adolescence*
2. Develop an overall understanding of Naprotechnology and Naprotracking and how these can be used:
* to monitor various hormonal events during the menstrual cycle
* to detect menstrual cycle abnormalities
* to guide the evaluation and management of these abnormalities
3. PCOS: Discuss definitions, pathophysiology, diagnosis, associated comorbidities, and its management
4. Abnormal vaginal bleeding:
*Learn about newer terminologies used to define “DUB” including AUB and HMB
* Discuss differential diagnosis of abnormal vaginal bleeding in the adolescent girl
* Discuss evaluation and management
5. Develop a systematic approach to the evaluation and management of PCOS and “DUB” taking into consideration other pathophysiologic processes that need to be ruled out
